Phone setup (iPhone & Android)

Use the same password as mailme.nz sign-in. Prefer IMAP (not POP) so your phone, computer, and webmail stay in sync.

Server settings (both platforms)

Apps sometimes hide “outgoing authentication”. If you can receive but not send, turn SMTP authentication on.
SMTP: prefer port 465 with SSL/TLS (encryption from the first byte). Port 587 with STARTTLS also works — use whichever your phone app handles best.

iPhone / iPad (Apple Mail)

  1. Open SettingsAppsMailMail Accounts (on older iOS: Settings → Mail → Accounts).
  2. Add AccountOtherAdd Mail Account.
  3. Enter name, email, password, description → Next.
  4. Choose IMAP.
  5. Incoming Mail Server: Host Name mail.websnz.co.nz, User Name = full email, Password = yours.
  6. Outgoing Mail Server: Host Name mail.websnz.co.nz, User Name = full email, Password = yours.
  7. Next → save. Open the Mail app and pull to refresh.

If iOS complains about SSL: edit the account → Advanced → Incoming use SSL, server port 993; Outgoing → primary server → Use SSL, port 465 (preferred) or 587.

Android (Gmail app or similar)

  1. Open the Gmail app (or your preferred mail app) → profile picture → Add another account.
  2. Choose Other (not Google / Outlook.com).
  3. Enter you@mailme.nz → Manual setup → IMAP.
  4. Password when asked.
  5. Incoming server: mail.websnz.co.nz, port 993, security SSL/TLS.
  6. Outgoing server: mail.websnz.co.nz, port 465, security SSL/TLS (or port 587 with STARTTLS), require sign-in.
  7. Finish and open the inbox.

Samsung / other mail apps

Same IMAP/SMTP values. Account type must be IMAP. Username = full @mailme.nz address.
