Login with mailme

One account powers email, cloud, and many freehosting.nz tools. When an app shows Login with mailme, it uses OpenID Connect (OIDC) - you approve sign-in on mailme.nz, then return to the app signed in.

What gets shared

Apps do not receive your password. Details: Privacy Policy.

freehosting.nz

  1. Open www.freehosting.nz or a tool (e.g. energy tracker, budget)
  2. Choose sign-in / Login with mailme
  3. If asked, sign in on mailme.nz and allow access

Some hub tools only appear after you sign in.

Nextcloud (mailme Cloud)

Open Cloud with Login with mailme. First login creates your cloud user; then paid quotas can be applied from your account.

Other apps (Gitea, wiki, etc.)

When enabled, they use the same discovery document:

https://mailme.nz/.well-known/openid-configuration

If login fails with “client authentication”, the app’s client secret no longer matches mailme - an admin must re-sync secrets.

Sign out

Use Sign out on mailme, freehosting, or Nextcloud. mailme’s logout clears the shared login, Roundcube webmail, and Nextcloud, so you should be signed out everywhere. On a shared computer, also close the browser when you are done.
